Spicy Shrimp Tacos with Avo Crema

Have you ever had a craving for something you've never made before? The other day I was browsing the aisles of the grocery story imagining a flavor-packed taco that would be slim on calories, but exciting for my/your taste buds! That's how this recipe was born.

I chose shrimp because they're only about 7 calories a piece and they're not exceptionally flavorful by themselves (making them a good canvas for my spice mixture)! I bought the peeled and deveined (uncooked) version that Greenwise makes in the freezer section. I ran them under cool water for about a minute and then let them sit out for about 30min before tossing them in the marinade.

To plate, I simply warmed up corn tortillas and added some shredded red cabbage, the shrimp, and my avocado crema. If you're a cheese lover or want to add some peppers and onions, go for it! I'd suggest not added too many other ingredients though. They are delicious as is!
